New Feature: DiscoverMe

We've released a *ton* of new features over the last few weeks. I'm really excited about all this new stuff and it already seems to be getting loads of use. Over the next few days, I'm going to highlight several of the newest/coolest things we've done.

Today's topic: Your DiscoverMe page.

Each person on Jambo get's one of these - your very own DiscoverMe URL/web page. Ok, ok, I can hear you now... "So what?!", "Oh great, yet another web page", "Bo-ring!"...

Well, this one's different. And here's why: whoever visits this page sees exactly what they would see as if they were nearby you in the Jambo application - meaning, they see which groups and friends you share in common. If we aren't matched, I don't see much. If we are matched, I see how we're matched. Maybe we both did a NOLS course. Maybe we went to high-school together. Maybe you know by best friend! So, everyone sees something completely different when they visit your DiscoverMe page. This is very cool, because you're able to discover something you share in common, without having to shout it out to the whole world. There's also a form at the bottom of each person's page so you can send them a private message if you're matched.

After logging in, you can grab your DiscoverMe page from MyJambo->DiscoverMe and stick the URL on your blog, in your email sig, in your vcard - anywhere. When I click it - I'll see what we share in common. Here's mine:
